Playing the Catch-Up Game
by Amy Kingsford
On a Creative Team full of “Project 365 Divas”, like the one we have here at ErinINK-- there has to be at least one “Project 365 Dunce” and that would be me! Last year I took on my first Project 365, and by my own standards, failed miserably  So you’re probably wondering what ideas I could possibly offer to keep those Projects fresh?
Well if there’s one thing I learned from my rocky experience with my first Project 365, it was how to “Play the Catch-Up Game.” Sometimes life comes at you and you don’t have time to pick up your camera or you’re caught so off guard, that you didn’t even remember but that’s ok! Here are a few prompts to help you to catch up on those days or even weeks :blushing again: that seemed to get away from you, or for others maybe just a way to change it up!
Tax Time- Why not feature an assortment of staged photos showing your tax journey, from piles of paperwork on your desk to the a mailed enveloped to the IRS—or, maybe you’d like to catalog what you spent your refund on, by taking photos of bills or your new flat screen tv (just so when you ask yourself where did it all go…you’ll have proper documentation !)
What’s for Dinner- Try showcasing your dinner choices for the week! In the lo below, “What’s for Dinner” I used a selection of photos from online resources for royalty free photos to recount what we ate for dinner…yum!

Things I Love About- This choice can help in a real pinch, because it's open-ended. For example, maybe it rained for you all week long so it was difficult to get photos. Look through your own stash, as well, as those available as royalty free images, to tell us the things you love most about the rain?!
Special Events- Birthdays, Holidays, Weddings, even the birth of a new baby are typically great resources for extra photos, as we rarely use every photo we take at these events in our layouts. Choose some extras from one of these events and look back on it like I’ve done in my layout “Remembering”, using extra photos from my honeymoon to Seattle.
Wishlists- We all have them, and unless you believe sharing them means your wishes won’t come true, this is another perfect opportunity to catch–up! Using royalty free images or piece together a lo showcasing your wishlist!
Whether a Diva or a Dunce, life happens quickly so if you can’t keep up: Don’t give up—CATCH-UP!
