I have been thinking alot in the last few months what my one little word would be and 'create' kept coming to me. 2010 was all about working hard to build ErinInk and as the year drew to a close I realized that I becasue so busy with tasks that I didn't create—for me and for my family. So my goal for this year is to create more.
SO here is a layout that I just created:
Journaling: Maisie, you asked me today, what does winter mean? And I thought about it for a minute and started to list off things that winter mean to me. Winter means snow, warm fires, hot soup, bundling up and snuggling under blankets. Winter means hot cocoa, sledding and snowmen. Winter means sledding and cold noses. Winter means Christmas, shopping and wrapping presents. Winter means baking cookies and bread and giving gifts. Winter means that it may be cold outside but it is warm and cozy in our homes and in our hearts.
Supplies:
Anna Aspnes: swim swim paperie, 10 Things 2 Heart kit, Stitched by Anna No 1, Loopdaloop No 2; DRigdon: tags notables; paislee press: est. alpha; Jazzmin: It's in the news alpha; Michele Martin: Solina Paper; KPertiet: Ledger Paper Pieces Snowflakes; creshens: pure paper
I did a December Daily for 2008 and 2009 got away from me and didn't get to do it. This year, I insisted to myself that I do it. I love looking back on the little daily stuff that happened in 2008 album. I have decided to keep it very simple (no surprise there, as it is my style, right?). And I am really pouring my heart into the journaling, trying to catch what the days were like and writing whatever little snippet (or big story) that I want to sare for that day. I have not been scrapping much lately and to say that I miss it is an understatement. For 2010, there will be much more scrapping on my family and of my story, as that is why I started doing all of this in the first place. I want to tell my story and my family's story, beautifully! Hope everyone is having a wondeful Christmas season! See you tomorrow!
